Shipping and payment

How long will my delivery take?
      • An order placed ​​on Monday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Tuesday.
      • An order placed ​​on Tuesday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Wednesday.
      • An order placed ​​on Wednesday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Thursday.
      • An order placed ​​on Thursday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Friday.
      • An order placed ​​on Friday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Tuesday.
      • An order placed ​​on Saturday or Sunday is delivered on Tuesday.
How are the orders delivered?

A carrier from the Dicom Group picks up the orders from our processing plant and delivers them by truck directly to your doorstep. 

How much will delivery cost? 
  • We offer free delivery on order totals over $100 (total after rebates).
  • A $20 delivery fee is added to order totals under 100$  (total after rebates).
What are the areas that you ship to?

We ship throughout the provinces of Québec and Ontario.

What if my house is unattended when the carrier rings?

The carrier will leave your order on your doorstep. The contents of the box will safely keep for 30 hours outside of a freezer, even under heavy rain or in high heat. We advise you to get back home before 8 p.m. on the date of delivery to store it into the freezer or put it in the refrigerator if you plan to eat it soon.

No one home, all day?

Have it delivered to your workplace! You can keep the box closed all day and put the contents in the freezer in the evening when you get back home.

Do you use recyclable packaging?

Our packaging is 100% recyclable, and belongs in the recycling bin. Dry ice blocks are biodegradable and can be safely thrown into the garbage bin.

What are the payment methods? How secure are online payments?

Payment is securely made using a credit card, directly on our website. Our online store comes with a 128-bit SSL certificate. Using the same level of encryption as the large banks, our SSL keeps your information secure at all times.

Is there tax?

No. You will not pay taxes on our products.

Do I have to specify if I live in a condo or apartment?

You can. You will have the possibility to add a note to your order. Then, you can add some specific instructions (e.g. leave the box to my neighbour). But also, be sure to specify your complete address, including your apartment number.

Can I ask for my box to be delivered at a desired secured spot?

Sure! Add your delivery instructions in the note at the end of your order process.

Do you have a physical location/store?

Not for the moment. We are a butcher shop that is online only. So you can only buy via our website.

Is there a minimum amount for an order?

You can order for the amount you want. But keep in mind that orders of 100$ and above get the free shipping.

Can I pick my order up directly at your office?

Yes, you can. When you complete your order, you have two options. Delivery or pickup. Same as delivery, you will have to choose date and time of your pickup. Our address is 7090, St. Patrick Street, Montreal (LaSalle), Qc.

I got my order, but some items are missing... How do I proceed?

If one or some items are missing in your order, please contact us via our email address info@maillard.co and we'll gladly send your missing items.

I'm unsatisfied of the products I received... How do I proceed?

If you are unsatisfied of your order, just email us at info@maillard.co explaining clearly the situation and we'll be happy to resolve the situation.

Can I return my order?

Due to the fact that our products are perishable, all sales are final. So you won't need to return your products, unless otherwise stated.

Do I need to create an account to make a purchase?

No, it's not necessary to make an account to pass an order. But we highly recommend you do so, because with an account, you will have access to our loyalty program, the Maillard Rewards.

Can I order now and set the delivery for later? 

Sure! You can always decide when you want your order to arrive home. During the checkout process, you will have the option to select ''delivery'' or ''pickup''. Just select your desired date in the following calendar.

Subscriptions

I have subscribed to a monthly box: when will I get my meat?

Once you subscribe, you should receive your first delivery within 24 hours, depending on the selected delivery option*. You will continue to receive boxes each month on the same date. We will send you an email confirmation once your transaction has been validated. All that’s left to do is wait for your delivery of Maillard meats!

  • An order placed on Monday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Tuesday.
  • An order placed on Tuesday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Wednesday.
  • An order placed on Wednesday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Thursday.
  • An order placed on Thursday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Friday.
  • An order placed on Friday before 1 p.m. is delivered on Tuesday.
  • An order placed on Saturday or Sunday is delivered on Tuesday.
Can I change the delivery date?

If you want to modify your subscription and receive your meat another day, contact us by phone at 1 855-335-5222 or e-mail at info@maillard.co.

Can I change or choose what is in my monthly box?

Thanks to Maillard subscriptions, you can savour a wide range of meats and exceptional cuts every month. A variety of delicious meats delivered right to your door. Contents may vary slightly from one month to another depending on the season and our suppliers. However, if you don’t want to miss out on a certain cut in particular, all you have to do is order it separately!

How can I stop my subscription?

There is no subscription commitment. You can stop it anytime by calling us at 855-335-5222 or e-mail at info@maillard.co.

What are the shipping costs for my subscription?

The monthly box delivery is free! You will receive your subscription every month without any additional charge.

Products

Where does your meat come from?

All our meats mainly come from Canada, whether it's Quebec, Ontario or in the West. Our lamb, however, comes from Australia.

What does ''natural meat'' mean?

According to the definition, a natural food - such as meat - is a food that is unaltered by chemicals that could possibly be harmful to human and / or animal health. A natural meat will not contain any chemical food additives, whether it’s food colouring, hormones or antibiotics that aren’t for curative usage.

How long can I keep a product before consumption?

The awesome thing about our frozen meat products is the technology we use. We use the flash freezing process, which makes the shelf life last longer, without any undesirable ice flavour.

Do your products contain gluten or lactose?

No. All our products are gluten-free and lactose-free, even our milk-fed veal, which doesn't contain any trace of lactose in its meat.

The products' skin packaging seem to be in bad shape... What do I do?

If the skin packaging has been damaged and the meat is in contact with air, it's at your own risk to eat it. We recommend you don't eat it and you contact us.

How do I thaw the meat?

There are different ways to thaw meat. Refrigerator, cold water or even microwave oven. Get all the details in our article: 3 ways to defrost a meat.

Will your products fit in my freezer?

Obviously, it's up to you to make room in your freezer, but our individual and advantageous skin packaging makes it easy to fit. No more overpacking in cumbersome boxes.

What is dry-aged meat?

Can I use more than one promo code in a single order?

You can only apply one promo code at a time in the checkout. Our system will automatically apply the best one for you (highest discount percentage).

How do your promotions work?

Every once in a while, we select products that will be discounted, depending on the season or any other factor. Be sure to follow us on social media, subscribe to our newsletter or check out our Promotions page from time to time.

My promo code doesn't work... What do I do?

If you have any difficulties entering your code or making it work, please contact us.

Why do you need my email address?

We need your email address so we can easily contact you if there's any issue with your order. Also, we will send you email updates and confirmations on your orders.

What is the HACCP certification?

HACCP is an acronym that means Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point. But HACCP is not a standard, but rather a method or a tool to ensure food safety in all the aspects of food transformation process. Basically, what it means is that this method or system allows us to identify, evaluate and, above all, control all the hazards that could threaten safety of the food we would eventually eat or drink.

Can I ship a gift order to a friend/relative?

Sure you can. In the checkout, simply use a different shipping address than the billing address. If you want us to add a special message for the receiver, add a note to your order.

Oh yes! Visit our Recipes section in the Maillard Magazine menu. We have plenty of delicious and appetizing recipes you can prepare yourself.
